The Tein Street Advance Z Coilovers are a height and damping adjustable suspension package developed for fast road MX-5 builds. Designed as an affordable entry into full coilover suspension, they allow you to fine-tune ride height and damping characteristics as your build evolves, without compromising everyday usability.
This kit is designed specifically for MX-5 fitment and retains the original top mounts, helping to control costs while maintaining correct chassis geometry and refinement. The thread-type ride height adjustment allows independent control of stance, making it suitable for anything from a subtle drop to a more aggressive setup.
A twin-tube damper construction provides increased stroke length, improving compliance over uneven surfaces while maintaining stability at motorway speeds. The sealed damper design streamlines manufacturing without sacrificing ride quality. Tein’s high-performance damper oil maintains consistent viscosity across a wide temperature range, with anti-foaming properties to resist cavitation and heat build-up during spirited road driving.
Each coilover is fitted with Tein’s cold-formed SAE9254 steel No-Sag springs to maintain consistent ride height over time. Corrosion resistance is addressed through a patented two-layer powder coating process, while Tein’s ZT coating on the threaded bodies helps ensure ride height adjustability remains smooth even after extended UK road use. Supplied as a complete set of four dampers for the chassis.
